Martha Stewart said not to carve your pumpkin too soon … but we did, and here is the proof!
We were excited getting ready for Halloween decorations. But we should have waited until THIS week to do it. According to MarthaStewart.com, carving your pumpkin exposes the insides to air, which causes your gourd to turn into a moldy mess and attracts bugs and other creepy-crawly things. You have about three to five days after carving before your Jack o' Lantern starts decaying.
Here's the proof below...ugh.
