HAPPY HOUR (the Good News): LOUISIANA MAN RESCUES BABY DEER FROM FLOOD WATERS
Like many people in Louisiana, Daniel Fears has been affected by Hurricane Ida. When the storm hit, he evacuated his family to Atlanta to keep them safe -- but stayed behind himself to help others in need.
Among those he helped was a baby deer who was stranded in flood waters. Daniel was able to paddle out to the troubled deer in his kayak and evacuate the animal to safety. Normally, a baby deer would be scared of human interaction, but during these troubled times, the deer swam right into Daniel’s arms.
And now, the deer is even best friends with the family dog.
Daniel has been feeding the deer. And once the flood waters calm down, Daniel plans to find his new friend a permanent home.
