When a New York Jet flattens a New England Patriot, you really don't have a story there. After all they are divisional rivals that play twice a season. So why is it notable when an All Pro member of the Jets makes an aggressive tackle on a Patriot at a Pro Ball practice. Maybe because it wasn't a Patriot player...but the mascot. He is "Pat The Patriot" and he ended up feeling a bit sore after the blindside hit you can see below.
Jamal Adams didn't seem to have any regrets after the tackle. There was a rumor that the guy in the mascot costume ended up in the hospital, but apparently his injuries were not quite so severe. All's well that ends well.
