Can Georgia Challenge Mighty Alabama?

Don't look now, but the SEC's youngest football team appears to be getting better as the season goes on. But will the Georgia Bulldogs have what it takes to give Alabama a real run for it's money on December 1st in Atlanta? It's tough to say.

Two things to consider: This is not the same Georgia team that took Alabama to overtime in the NCG last January. Many members of that team are gone to the NFL, and not just Nick Chubb and Sony Michel, but some excellent defensive stars like Lorenzo Carter and Roquan Smith.

At the same time, this is not the same Georgia team that lost to LSU a month back either. D'Andre Swift is finally healthy and it shows. The offensive line, while banged up, keeps improving their play. They piled up over 300 yards of rushing against both Kentucky and Auburn. That is not done with smoke and mirrors. On the other side of the ball, the Georgia defense is in the midst of a mid season youth movement. Former 5 and 4 star prospects that saw little action early in the season have earned their playing time and are producing. These freshman and redshirt freshman fill the field with speed.

A month ago, few would give the Bulldogs a real chance in a showdown with Alabama. But what about today?
