Garth Brooks Talks About His Upcoming First-Ever Show At Gillette Stadium

I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to talk with the one and only Garth Brooks, ahead of his upcoming first-ever show at Gillette Stadium.

As you can imagine, the return from quarantine has been an interesting one for Garth, as it has been for us all. Looking back on his first full-capacity post-quarantine show, he wanted to stress the importance of loving and respecting one another.

“We just started in Vegas, the first 100% capacity back there,” he said. “I gotta tell you, we did a video right before the show and, what it was, was telling people ‘If you see someone next to you wearing a mask, don’t look at them odd. If you’re wearing a mask and somebody isn’t, don’t look at them odd. We’re all moving out of this thing, hopefully we’re moving out of this thing, at our own speed. Respect each other.’ And they loved one another and they did great.”

We also took a short break from concerts to talk about his viral moment earlier this year, when he was seen showing love to and hugging Democrat and Republican presidents presidents alike. “All of a sudden, I realized I might be on world-record pace for hugging the most presidents and first ladies in the smallest amount of time in history,” he said as we shared a laugh.

Finally, as for his upcoming show at Gillette Stadium this fall, he had the following words for fans:

“I’m gonna suggest you wear a helmet, because it’s gonna get loud, it’s gonna get stupid, it’s gonna get fun.”

There’s no doubt about that. Can’t wait for this show on Saturday, October 9th!
