Miranda Lambert has taken a shot at social media, saying it causes drama where there isn't any.
She tells Hits Daily Double, "With social media, it’s a whole other thing. And it’s such [nonsense]. I’m thankful for the drama of it all, because it gets sillier and sillier. They make up so many lies, no one can know the truth. The truth is it’s in my music if you listen close enough."
She keeps her own interactions on social media to a minimum. "I wanna have a conversation, hear about it, have real face-to-face conversations—and be interesting."
She recalls, "I took three months off all socials in 2015. I loved it. I read Willie Nelson’s It’s a Long Story and poetry. I wrote 75 songs in six months because I wasn’t using my mind staring at mindless [garbage]."
Miranda will join up with Little Big Town for their joint Bandwagon tour next month.
