Bay Minette Elementary Peer Helpers Team led the school's Shop With a Cop Challenge. The students went above and beyond to raise $1,800 to support School Resource Officer Paul Adams. The Bay Minette Police Department holds fundraisers each year to support its Shop with a Cop project. All money raised is then used to purchase Christmas gifts for local families with children.
Members of the BMPD take the children shopping at local stores to pick out items on their wish list. The children are taken in shifts so that all members of the department have the opportunity to shop and be a part of this special community service project.
