CITRONELLE, Ala. (WPMI) — The Citronelle High School community came together to give custodian Samuel James a vehicle.

“I’m feeling godly blessed to have people, you know, being like a family to do this for me,” Samuel James, a custodian at Citronelle High School, expressed.

James has worked at Citronelle High School for 12 years and he’s been walking to and from work.

Citronelle High School’s principal, Randy Campbell, says Jeff Pippin, the academy specialist, and Deborah Pippin, an English teacher at the school, had a car they wanted to give away.

“About a week or so ago, the Pippins and I were talking. We were having a conversation over lunch and imagine, they had a vehicle that they may want to give somebody and asked if I knew anybody that needed one, and I go "Yeah, Sam does,” Campbell shared.

The Pippins say they wanted to bless someone.

“God has been good to us and he’s blessed us, so we want to continue doing that same thing,” Jeff Pippin said.

“The way it all worked out, it can only be a God thing because we had thought about it, but not really mentioned it, and it just kind of came up in conversation, and then Mr. Campbell already knew that Sam needed the vehicle, so it just all worked out and whenever something works out like that you know God has a hand in it,” Deborah Pippin added.
