Gulf Shores Police have released the following information on the investigation of a disturbed sea turtle hatching site on Gulf Shores beaches:
During the late evening hours of Saturday night, August 25, 2018 into the early morning hours on Sunday, August 26, 2018, a sea turtle nest located near the Crystal Shores Condos East, 921 West Beach Blvd, was disturbed.
After nearly 100 turtles hatched and made it safely into the water, the site was still occupied by numerous unhatched eggs which were left in their habitat in order to allow them to continue with their incubation process.
When the volunteers of the “Share the Beach” program returned the following morning, they observed that someone had disturbed the nest.
The Gulf Shores Police Department was provided video from the condo of subjects who had entered the facility throughout the evening.
The attached video is of four subjects who entered the complex in the early morning hours on the 26th.
The two male subjects and the taller female subject have been located and have provided great assistance in solving this case.
The second white female, with shorter blondish hair and glasses, has yet to be identified.
The Gulf Shores Police Department is asking your assistance in identifying this subject. If you have any information regarding her identity or for this case in general, please contact Det. Michael Hoguet 251-968-9841.
If you know anything, help crack this case!
