To Catch a Thief

A homeowner in a Montreal suburb was frustrated with a squirrel eating the tomatoes and strawberries off her plants, so she set up surveillance cameras to catch the furry thief in the act. Her sting operation worked, only the suspected thief wasn't a squirrel, unless it happened to be a very large one wearing a mailman uniform.

Paula Habib noticed in June that her tomatoes and strawberries were being picked off her hanging plants and assumed it had to be a squirrel taking them. She was shocked when she reviewed her security video and saw her mailman helping himself to a snack while on his route.

He wasn't just picking a few fruits here and there, he was picking and eating all of them and leaving nothing on the plant. Habib says she'll forgive the mail carrier if he replaces the plants or brings over some tomato sauce or a strawberry pie. (CTV News
