New information was released last night that Robert Yates, a man described as a loner, barricaded himself inside of his mobile home.
That home what was described as a run down trailer home located in the Key Allegro Villas.
He was set to be evicted from his humble abode, but decided that he wasn't leaving without a fight.
Deputies ended up shooting and killing the man after a five hour long standoff.
The death of 66-year-old Yates has landed 10 deputies on leave as detectives dig further into the investigation.
Baldwin County Sheriff Huey Hoss Mack said last night that Yates never spoke to deputies and didn't previously show signs of the violence that was to come.
According to investigators, Yates had been dodging eviction since 2016
Family members say Yates suffered from paranoia and had distanced himself from family for the past three years.
