How will you celebrate Father's Day this weekend? I am blessed that I get to spend quality time with one of my sons, and my grandchildren. And as I enjoy their company I will also remember my old man. As you can see from the picture above, my dad was an Army man. Served in WWII and the Korean Conflict. I have always been very proud of his service to our Country. Dad was all about family, football and baseball. Loved his kids and grand kids, the Crimson Tide, yes I was a bit of a disappointment, and the Braves. Married to the same sweet lady until the day he left us. Every Father's Day weekend I reflect on him and how he raised me. How he taught me right from wrong. And hopefully how pleased he'd be with the man I am today. I will forever miss him not having the opportunity to see my youngest son play high school football. He would have loved that. Or watching my oldest son singing in a gospel quartet. Country gospel music was Dad's favorite. Although he left us year's ago, he is still with me, in my heart.
Take some time to remember your dad, and if you are lucky enough, give him a big hug and let him know you love him. Honestly you would not be the man or woman you are today with your Dad. So let him know how you feel before it's too late. Celebrate this Sunday with Dad
