A Hairy Panic

Things have gotten a bit hairy Down Under.

A town in Australia has come under attack by an army of tumbleweeds due to several days of strong winds. The unusual occurrence, which is known as a "hairy panic" in Australia, has filled the small Melbourne suburb with very large tumbleweeds which have wreaked havoc on residents. It's been so bad in some areas that residents have been trapped inside their homes. One resident reported that her house was covered in 14 feet of tumbleweeds. 

Town officials are warning residents of several more days strong winds and "hairy panic."
