LIGHTING OF THE MARDI GRAS TREE & BRASS BAND SHOWCASE- Sat 5:30pm-8:30pm, Mardi Gras Park, Downtown Mobile

Join the City of Mobile for the kickoff to Carnival season! Enjoy brass bands from Mobile, Pensacola and Jackson Mississippi, and don’t miss the lighting of the tree at 6:20. There will also be food trucks and vendors.  CLICK HERE    

SARALAND MARDI GRAS TREE LIGHTING - Thurs 7:30pm, Town Center Park, Saraland

The Krewe of Sparta is thrilled to invite you to a spectacular celebration to kick off the 2026 Carnival season. Join them for the Third Annual Mardi Gras Tree Lighting, where the spirit of the season comes alive with lights, laughter, and community. Free event.  CLICK HERE  

30th Annual MAGIC CHRISTMAS IN LIGHTS - Nightly 5pm-9pm, EXTENDED THROUGH JANUARY 10th , Bellingrath Gardens & Home, Theodore

The season is beginning earlier than ever and continuing nightly through January 6th, to give guests even more time to experience the wonder of the season. The show features more than 3 million lights, 1,100 set pieces, and just under 20 themed scenes, transforming the 65-acre Gardens into a glowing winter wonderland.  CLICK HERE

This event features a Full marathon, Half marathon, Relay and Fun Run. And the Mobile Marathon is a Boston Marathon Qualifier!
