ORANGE BEACH BILLFISH CLASSIC- Fri/Sat, The Wharf, Orange Beach

The OBBC includes tuna, wahoo and dolphin (mahi), but is primarily a blue marlin tournament. The two-day event will be full of big boat, big fish and big fun. And it’s all for a great cause, supporting The Billfish Foundation (TBF). CLICK HERE 

CARNIVALE GRAND PARADE & MEMORIAL DAY TRIBUTE- Sat 1:45pm, downtown Pensacola

The Pensacola Grand Carnival Parade is annually the largest and most extravagant parade in Pensacola and it’s back this Saturday at 2 p.m.! It will be preceded at 1:45 p.m. with a special heartfelt Memorial Tribute to Gold Star families. The Northwest Florida Patriot Guard Riders will lead the tribute on their motorcycles. CLICK HERE

MEMORIAL DAY FLAG RELAY- Mon 7am-11am, starting at Army National Guard and U. S. Coast Guard bases on Tanner Williams Road, and ending at USS Alabama Battleship

The Flag Relay is a memorial run that is held each year in honor of those who have lost their lives in service to our county. Runners will carry the United States flag and a “We Support Our Troops” flag that contains the emblems of the military service branches. Working in pairs, the runners will carry the flags in 1-mile legs during the 22-mile run. The public is encouraged to line any of the relay routes and cheer on the runners. CLICK HERE

OWA MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND CELEBRATION- Sat/Sun/Mon, OWA theme park, Foley

The weekend includes free kids activities and live music Saturday and Sunday. There’s a FIREWORKS SHOW Saturday night at 8:50 and the Patriotic Fountain Show Monday night at 6:30, 7:30 and 8:30. CLICK HERE

BARK IN THE PARK MOVIE NIGHT & FIREWORKS- Fri 7pm, Blue Wahoos Stadium, Pensacola

The Blue Wahoos will host their first Bark in the Park Movie Night at Blue Wahoos Stadium, inviting local families to enjoy a showing of Secret Life of Pets 2 on the videoboard at the ballpark alongside their furry friends. Gates will open at Blue Wahoos Stadium at 6:00 PM and the movie will begin at 7:00 PM. Following the movie, the Blue Wahoos will light up the Pensacola Bay sky with a fireworks show. 1st Annual BOYINGTON OAK FESTIVAL- Sat/Sun 1pm-6pm, Oakleigh House Museum, Mobile

In 1835, unqualified jurors and circumstantial evidence determined the fate of Charles Boyington, a nineteen-year-old hanged for the murder of his best friend. As he predicted would happen to prove his innocence, an oak tree grew from his gravesite in Mobile. It still stands 186 years later. 

Watch a live showing of The Truth Is In The Tree, performed on the balcony of the Historic Oakleigh House Museum; take a tour of the Museum, and take the Historic Mobile Trolley Tour. CLICK HERE
