MOBILE FASHION WEEKSat 6pm, The Fort of Colonial Mobile

Mobile Fashion Week was born from the idea of "Fashion with a cause," bringing every facet of the fashion industry together to support a local charity. From models to designers, makeup artists to hairstylists, bringing them all together to support Camp Rap-A-Hope camp for kids with cancer. CLICK HERE   


THE THROWDOWNThurs 6pm, 23 EAST (Brookley Field), Mobile

Five local artists will compete to create works of art in just 90 minutes. All pieces are auctioned off and the piece with the highest bid is declared the winner.  Proceeds support community arts grants and the Mobile Arts Council’s mission to strengthen, support, and sustain the local arts and cultural community. CLICK HERE

"DESIRE, DESIRE, DESIRE"-Another Tennessee Williams parody, from the author of “For Whom the Southern Belle Tolls”. Blanche DuBois, her nerves shot, is stuck in a house with a slobby Stanley Kowalski, who keeps yelling "Stella!"

 "PAPER THIN" - Lucrece and Gerald have had a good marriage, in Lucrece's opinion. Late in life, they had one son, as they'd planned, and now, after watching Gerald recover from heart surgery, Lucrece has reminded Gerald of another thing they'd planned on: Getting a divorce.  CLICK HERE

ANIMATION ACADEMY- Sat Sept 22nd- Jan 1, Gulf Coast Exploreum, downtown Mobile

The Animation Academy explores the unique world of animation, from traditional hand-drawn cels to exciting breakthroughs in stop-motion and CGI. Visitors can create their own stop-motion animated short, learn about the art of storyboarding, go behind the scenes with artists and animators, and enjoy America’s largest 3D zoetrope.  CLICK HERE
