Scotty McCreery shared family photos with his wife and baby on Instagram as he debuted a heartfelt ballad about his life as a father on Friday (February 9). The country singer-songwriter released “Love Like This,” serving as a tribute to his family as he readies Album No. 5.
“Becoming a father is the coolest thing I’ve ever done and watching my wife [Gabi McCreery] be a rock star as his Mom has been the joy of my life these last 15 months,” the North Carolina-born singer-songwriter wrote in his caption on Instagram as he posted a slideshow of moments throughout his son’s life so far.
Fittingly, McCreery, 30, said he’d “never known a love like this,” when he announced son Merrick Avery McCreery’s arrival in October 2022. Avery — who also made an appearance in his dad’s “Cab In A Solo” music video — was born on the morning of October 24, 2022, 11 days before his due date. McCreery wrote in his caption as he shared the first photos of his then-newborn son that Avery was “7 lbs 13oz of nothin but love💙 Thank yall for all of your prayers during this exciting season of life! Healthy baby and a healthy mama! Praise God🙌🏼🙏🏼”
McCreery previously confirmed that his fifth full-length studio album is in the works. He’s since shared a few new tracks with fans, including “Cab In A Solo” — which inspired the name of his headlining tour with Anne Wilson, Greylan James and Noah Hicks on select dates. — and “Can’t Pass The Bar.” McCreery’s next studio album will follow previously-released projects Same Truck, Seasons Change, See You Tonight and Clear As Day.
