LET ME JUST TELL YA HOW EXCITED I AM ABOUT THIS....
SO DAMN EXCITED!! This show has remained one of my favorite shows all these years later. I was terrified of both Unsolved Mysteries and Rescue 911 as a child (the latter is why I'm still to this day scared of escalators...you know the episode..). It looks like I'm not the only one who has been a fan for their entire lifetime.
The wildly successful and first-of-its-kind mystery docuseries Unsolved Mysteries is being revived by the original creators along with the producers of Stranger Things. This modern take on the classic series will maintain the chilling feeling viewers loved about the original, while also telling the stories through the lens of a premium Netflix documentary series. Each episode will focus on one mystery and once again will look to viewers to help aid investigators in closing the book on long outstanding cases.
The original Unsolved Mysteries ran for 11 seasons and 260 episodes chronicling over 1,000 stories, and received six Emmy nominations.
Netflix will (for now) air 12 episodes beginning in July! No word on the host yet...but whoever it is better wear an epic khaki trench coat.
