Baseball Teams in South Korea Play for Crowd of Stuffed Animals

Professional baseball has returned in South Korea following a suspension due to the virus. The Korean Baseball Organization games are being played in stadiums filled with stuffed animals.

Humans are prohibited from attending these baseball games. Players complained about the empty seats. So plush toys fill the stadium. A photo taken at Sunday’s game shows SpongeBob, Winnie the Pooh and Pikachu sitting behind home plate.

This just might be a solution in the United States for summer Little League games. If parents cannot cheer for their players, maybe the kids could bring their favorite stuffed animal to fill the bleachers. (12Up)
