Mayor Stimpson declared a Public Health Emergency for the City of Mobile

Yesterday, Mayor Stimpson declared a Public Health Emergency for the City of Mobile due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

There have been 39 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Alabama, including one in Baldwin County, but currently no confirmed cases in the City of Mobile. It is expected that positive cases may emerge in the coming days. Alabama Department of Public Health now has a hotline for anyone experiencing symptoms. The hotline number is: 1-888-264-2256

Our COVID-19 page has become a big resource for our community seeking information. Yesterday, Mobile City Council asked us to continue our efforts so that Mobilians have one central place regarding event cancellations and business updates. We accepted that charge and have since made it even easier by adding quick forms that can be filled out to give us updates. Our community can support each other now more than ever by knowing who is open or what modifications that business has made. The current list can be found here - https://www.mobile.org/about/covid-19-update/local-business-updates/.

We know this is an incredibly hard time for you and it breaks our hearts to see our friends and partners closing their doors. It's our greatest hope that this is only temporary and we'll recover stronger than ever. Our organization is here for you and we'll continue to be here throughout the duration of this situation.
