There are certainly some people who really get into the Halloween spirit, and one mom who obviously loves the spooky holiday is now being blasted for taking things a bit too far.
Oklahoma mom Bobbi Rylant recently shared some Halloween-inspired photos on social media and folks are up in arms. The 26-year-old, who is a part-time photographer, decided to have some fun with her kids, 10-month-old Kamden and five-year-old Kynadee, including them in her ghoulish photo shoot. The photos included one of Kamden sitting in a bucket of “blood” and eating what looked like a brain, with another featuring Kynadee in full zombie makeup.
After posting the photos on Facebook they were shared over 200,000 times, and while many people were supportive, not everyone had positive things to say about them. In fact, a lot of people were downright nasty, with some suggesting Bobbi’s kids should be taken away from her.
Bobbi insists the shoot was all in “fun,” and her kids are “very well taken care of,” adding that she knew some people may not like the photos but didn’t expect the reaction she got.
- And it seems her kids came out of it completely unscathed. “'What I really love about this is just that it's fun and it has also helped my five-year-old not to be afraid,” she says. “I can now show her the photos of herself 'dressed up scary' and explain that monsters and zombies aren't real at all, they're just regular people dressed up just like she was!” Check out the photos here.
