ICYMI: Spanish Fort Toros Donate To Librarian Who Is Battling Cancer

How awesome are the Spanish Fort Toros football team? And not just awesome at playing football. They are learning a great life lesson by giving.

In case you missed this GREAT local GOOD NEWS story, the team donated all the money from their Spring game ticket sales a total of $2,000to Spanish Fort High library assistant Jane Leonard, who was recently diagnosed with cancer.

Coash Blackmon said Mrs. Jane always greets folks with a smile and is always positive and willing to help out doing things to help other people.

The Coach said she was surprised by the gesture. She shook the hands of all the football players that were there when the money was presented to her.

Spanish Fort Toros Football wrote on their Facebook page:

“Toros Football team showing some love to our library assistant, Mrs. Jane Leonard today. She was recently diagnosed with cancer and today Coach Blackmon and the team presented her with a $2000 check....which was all of the proceeds from the spring game ticket sales. To say she was surprised is an understatement!”

Way to go team! And Ms. Leonard, we are thinking of you!
