Mellow Mushroom in Midtown Mobile announced that is is closing. I literally *just* ate lunch there this week. As a former resident of Midtown (and still a big fan), I am super sad to see it go. I put in many miles (and many beers) around there with the Mello Milers running group when they first started. Time to dig out that t-shirt...

"After MANY MANY years, we are sad to announce that Mellow Mushroom at the loop will be closing our doors.
With much regret and sadness our LAST DAY open will be MARCH 31 2019.
Thank you to our customers and community for your loyalty, patience, and those who have continued to support us through hard times. We are asking for one last favor, and that’s to come SPEND TIME WITH US during our last week open.
And thank you to Mr. Catranis who has always went above and beyond making sure that our accommodation needs were met. For years he has adjusted our rent cost to fit what we could afford.
And a special thank you to our employees, both past and present, who have made Mellow Mushroom what it is today. The memories that have been made will last forever and I know each one of us can say that not only have we found a friend, but family members in the process.
