ALLIANCE OF AMERICAN FOOTBALL ENJOYS RATINGS SUCCESS

So we had a rather boring Super Bowl, and that's how the long football season ended, right? Not so fast because along comes the Alliance of American Football.

The new professional league debuted over the weekend with strong ratings. The viewership even surprised some league officials. In fact, more viewers tuned in to watch the San Antonio Commanders take on the San Diego Fleet on CBS Saturday night than the NBA's biggest match-up of the night between the Oklahoma City Thunder and Houston Rockets.

So maybe it's just a novelty that will soon wear off, or maybe football has become so popular that we just like football no matter who is playing.

The game featuring players of most interest in Lower Alabama was played between Birmingham and Memphis. Check out the highlights below.
