This story gives me chills! He is from South Mobile County, my neck of the woods, KSJ Country. ~Shelby
A miracle appears to be the only way to explain a Mobile, Alabama teen's recovery from a traumatic brain injury that left him dead for 15 minutes.
13-year-old Trenton McKinley was badly injured two months ago when a utility vehicle he was riding in flipped over. His skull was badly fractured and he was left with very little brain function. He flat-lined multiple times and was even declared dead for about 15 minutes. With recovery looking unlikely, his parents agreed to take him off life support and donate his organs to five other children. But one day before doctors were planning to pull the plug, Trenton unexpectedly regained consciousness.
Over the next few weeks, he continued to improve and has regained most of his normal functions, although with some complications. Trenton says he doesn't remember anything about the accident, but he recalls dying. He says, "I was in an open field walking straight. There's no other explanation but God. There's no other way. Even doctors said it." (WALA-TV)
