Spring Into Action Blood Drive

Baldwin EMC to Host Blood Drive on Two Dates, at Two Locations, this Spring

(SUMMERDALE, Ala) – Baldwin EMC is offering two options for the community to donate blood this spring.

The co-op’s annual Spring Into Action will be hosted on March 15 at the South Baldwin office (21801 University Lane in Orange Beach), and April 26 at the North Baldwin office (47525 Hwy. 59 in Bay Minette). Both events will run 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and donations of non-perishable food will be accepted as well.

“If you can give just one hour of your time and one pint of blood, your donation can save up to three lives,” said Donna Givens, coordinator of the event. “Every year we’re amazed at the generosity of our members and the Baldwin County community. We’re hoping that by offering events at our Orange Beach and Bay Minette locations, even more individuals will be encouraged to come out and save a life.”

LifeSouth Community Blood Centers will be on site to take blood donations. Everyone at least 17 years old, 110 pounds and in generally good health is invited to donate blood. All blood types are needed, and first-time donors are welcome. Anyone who donates blood will be entered into two grand prize drawings at the end of the day.

Donations of canned goods and non-perishable food items will also be collected to benefit local food pantries and families.
