South Alabama and Auburn Draw a CROWD

What a great environment. What a beautiful night. What an exciting game. So it looks like residents of Mobile do know their way to Eddie Stanky Field after all. I was in attendance last night as an all-time stadium record crowd of over 4,500 witnessed a hard fought battle between in state rivals, not to mention top 20 ranked teams.

Temperatures were in the mid to upper 60s with a breeze from the south. In other words, it was perfect. While I knew in advance it was going to be a great evening to take in a game, what I did not realize was that so many local baseball fans would be thinking the same thing.

While Auburn rallied to beat the 11th ranked Jags 7-6, make no mistake that South Alabama was a winner in many ways last night. It was truly awesome to witness an environment that has, for the most part, been absent at a Jag baseball game. For a recap you can click here.

And hey Mobile, let's do this again.
