Erica The Robot to Replace Japanese TV News Anchor
This isn’t creepy at all! In Japan, a robot designed to look like a 23-year-old woman is becoming a news anchor. According to her creator Hiroshi Ishiguro, the robot, named Erica, is warm and caring, and even has "a soul." Erica starts her new job in April.

A humanoid robot named Erica will "replace" a news anchor on Japanese television, says Hiroshi Ishiguro, director of the Intelligent Robotics Laboratory at Osaka University. Erica will begin her new role in April. https://t.co/GgIc1kgJhB— jasonbellini (@jasonbellini) January 29, 2018
