LIVE FROM REESE'S SENIOR BOWL PRACTICE

Hey from Dan. I was able to take in some time at practice today at Ladd Peebles Stadium for the Reese's Senior Bowl. The game's director of scouting is a friend of mine, Patrick Woo. Besides being a great guy, Patrick is supremely knowledgeable about the talent on the field. He took the time to talk about the pro potential of Alabama players like De'Shawn Hamilton, JK Scott, Bradley Bozeman along with former St. Pauls' and Auburn standout Tre' Williams.

Patrick and I also touch on a number of subjects including the impact the week has on the city of Mobile and the Gulf Coast region from an economic standpoint, the relationships he has been able to forge from his lofty position with the bowl and the mid week buzz on Heisman Trophy winner Baker Mayfield from Oklahoma.

How important are these practices in improving the pro prospects for the young men on the field? Patrick tells of the time a team's General Manager chose a player from a smaller school simply based on the film he saw of the player going one on one in a Senior Bowl practice against a much more heralded player from a Power Five conference school.

It was a beautiful afternoon and Patrick is full of great information. If you are a college and / or NFL fan, I think you will find the video informational and enjoyable.
