PRUITT TO TENNESSEE

I first met Jeremy Pruitt when I was invited to join a couple of local high school football coaches for their visit to the University of Georgia. Todd Watson, who was the head coach at Foley High, along with Foley assistant coach Eddie Stephenson, were invited to visit UGA to watch practice and be present for a three hour coaches' meeting the following day. I was delighted to tag along since I am a  UGA alum and big fan of the program.

Mark Richt was the head coach at the time and the guy extending the invitation was his defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt. Pruitt and Watson had coached together at Hoover High School and remained friends. I remember being impressed as I watched Pruitt do his thing. He was a very loud presence on the practice field and adept recruiter, as he juggled various cell phones later that evening.

Jeremy is slick. He's a fast talker that leaves you believing he knows what he's talking about. And now, he has been named the head football coach at Tennessee. Rad about it from CBS Sports here
