Hearts across the country have been warmed by the image of a kind cop walking an elderly woman home in Florida, holding her hand as he led her. The photo shows a Broward County sheriff’s deputy hand in hand with a small woman and was tweeted by the department, where people praised his gentle action.
“Chivalry is not dead,” the sheriff’s office tweeted. “This BSO deputy walked hand-in-hand with the elderly woman to ensure she got to her home safely.
The dear deputy involved didn’t want his name used, so he didn’t do this for the publicity. He was merely doing his job helping this confused woman, who was having trouble finding her way home with the traffic lights out from the aftermath of Hurricane Irma. But the image of him holding her hand is proof there’s still good in the world.
