Award-winning legendary hitmaker SHENANDOAH comes to the Mobile Saenger Thursday March 5th, 2026
Some info on the artist:
Alabama-based country outfit Shenandoah combines a tuneful, radio-friendly sound with melodies and arrangements that hark back to a more traditional style. They rose to popularity in the late '80s, releasing two consecutive gold records, and hit the top of the country charts with songs including "The Church on Cumberland Road," "Two Dozen Roses," and "Next to You, Next to Me." During their early-'90s commercial peak, the band were chart staples and even notched a Country Music Association Award and a Grammy Award for their 1994 Alison Krauss duet "Somewhere in the Vicinity of the Heart." Although their success dwindled in the early 2000s, Shenandoah remained a popular touring act and continued to record sporadically over the next two decades. In 2020, they teamed up with prominent artists like Luke Bryan, Brad Paisley, and Blake Shelton to record an album of duets called Every Road; it was followed in 2023 with the Luke Combs duet "Two Dozen Roses."
