Opening Acts:
• Grayson Capps: Bringing raw, Southern roots to the stage, Grayson Capps weaves tales of life in the South through his bluesy, soulful Americana music. Expect gritty, whiskey-soaked vocals, greasy guitar riffs, and stomping rhythms as Capps captivates the crowd.
• The Jukebox Brass Band: Kicking things off with their unique blend of contemporary brass sounds, this band has rocked stages across the South, delivering high-energy performances that fuse traditional brass with a modern twist.
This free event has grown into a beloved tradition, attracting over 50,000 revelers each year. Festivities begin early with the Kids Zone at Mardi Gras Park from 11 AM to 1 PM, including a special Noon Year’s Eve MoonPie Drop for the little ones. As the sun sets, the excitement builds with the best decorated umbrella contest, the cutting of the world’s largest edible MoonPie by Chattanooga Bakery, and a second-line parade led by the Port City Secondliners and The Jukebox Brass Band to kick off the evening’s live music. Then, as the clock nears midnight, all eyes will turn to the sky for the descent of the 12-foot-tall electronic MoonPie from the 34-story RSA Trustmark building to ring in the New Year.
