TIME TO GROWL

This is a big year for South Alabama football. The Jags will get national attention in the first two weeks of the season by traveling to Ole Miss to challenge the Rebs in their first game without the departed Hugh Freeze. South then comes home to take on a Top 10 team in Oklahoma State the following Friday night at Ladd-Peebles Stadium. The really important games though are Sun Belt Conference games. South Alabama has continued to find some struggles in their own league while surprising teams liken San Diego State and Mississippi State. From everything I'm hearing, the talent level is at its highest in South history and the level of depth is also greater. They have a play making quarterback returning, returners at running back and talent at receiver. The defense has several all conference type players, so this may be South Alabama's best shot at a true break season yet. Here is a look at the team's first practice courtesy of Jagnation TV.
